> >First of all who's in the band and what do they play? - Dave on
vocals, paul and dale on guitar, si on bass and Flo on drums ( our
new drummer )
>
> >How long have you guys been playing? How many lineup
> changes have you been through? - The band has been going
since 1999, but there has been a few line up changes not quite
sure how many now
>
> >I see you guys release all of your own shit (cds,
> keychains, bottle openers etc...).How's that working
> out? Have you released anything on any other labels?
> if not, will you? - At most gigs we do sell some merchandise but
we would like to sell more. All the releases so far by the band from
the very beginning have all been DIY. We are hoping to record an
album for Step-1 Records, we are just waiting for the record label
at the moment to sort out the recording costs.
>
> >What does DIY mean to you? DIY is good cos you release
exactly what you want when you want to,and you can keep the cost
of the cds down but it is hardwork organising everything yourself
>
> >Have you guys made any money off of it? does it
> support you? We haven't made any money out of the band just
petrol money mostly to cover our fuel expenses getting to the gigs,
when we went to Spain last november we had made enough from
recent previous gigs to pay for our flights which was a big help in
getting out there
>
> >What's your day jobs? Si is a boat builder, Dave is a musician,
Paul is a builder, Dale goes to college and Flo works with
computers
>
> >So where do you play at regularly? Hows the scene out
> there? We play all over the place where ever we can get a gig
and have travelled to quite a few different parts of the UK, we
haven't been to Scotland yet. I think most of our gigs tend to be in
Norfolk in the east of the UK which is where the band originated
from.
>
> >Do you do much touring? Hotwired travelled to Bulgaria and
Romania in August 2004 then to Spain in November in 2005 and
we had a great time. We would like to do more tours I think it is
great going and playing in another country, we are very interested
in coming over to the states to play if the opportunity arose.
>
> >Who do you play with regularly? What are some of your
> favorite bands to play with? We have played with quite a few
different bands amoung some of the bests ones are Eastfield,
Goldblade,The Uk Subs, New York Scum Haters (Ramones
Tribute),Angelic Upstarts, The Oppressed, The Kaotixx and The
Peacocks.
>
> >What do you think of the punk/Oi!/hardcore scene in
> general these days? There is a lot going on with quite a lot being
done in the DIY underground scene, as i think this is the easiest
way now for bands to get themselves heard. There seems to be
gigs all over the UK.
>
> >How do you feel the internet and all of the modern
> worlds mass communication has affected the punk scene? The
internet has made a massive difference to the punk scene, any
band can have a website which makes the band easily accessible
to everyone, people can find out about gig dates, what bands are
up, to listen to their music and can contact the band directly. It is
much easier to promote your band now as you can do it from your
own home and promote yourself to the whole world,
>
> >I've noticed most of your songs are about drinkin',
> gettin' fucked up and just being a punk in general.
> Are you guys very political at all? any extreme
> political views? I dont think anyone in the band has extreme
views we all know what is right and wrong, the band seems to
reflect day to day life out on the street, I am vegetarian and do have
views on animal cruelty and the treatment of animals.
>
> >What's your favorite beer? How often do you drink it? Our
favorite beer is a free one and would like to drink as many as
possible
>
> >Do you guys have anything new coming out anytime
> soon? Our next release is an album to be recorded for Step-1
Records, this project is on hold with the record label for a while but
hopefully we will be in the studio soon recording it.
>
> >Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for any
> young punx or bands new to punk? Not sure what advice to give
except that you gotta promote yourself a lot as there seems to be a
lot of up coming young bands around it can be hard work at times
but if you wanna succeed you will just have to keep at it.And
always support the scene that supports you.
